It was the year 1985 when Mercedes-Benz introduced the facelift series of the C126. The changes in comparison to the first series were not just optical. Mercedes introduced a whole batch of new engines with on top the new boss; the 560SEC. The M117 engine was enlarged to 5,6Liter and the power output without a catalyst topped at 300HP.
Many luxury gadgets where standard, thank god with a new list price of 133.608 DE (September 1985). A lot of money, but he was worth it in every aspect. The SEC is a technological masterpiece.
